Protecting private information is critical for any business. Are your staff prepared?
Every agency working in New Zealand must abide by the Privacy Act 2020. This includes every staff member working in alignment with the 13 Privacy Principles and responding professionally to any privacy breaches.
The Privacy Essentials module treats privacy with the respect and importance it has always deserved. Covering the 13 Privacy Principles in an engaging and unique way, the module works through scenarios, breach reporting and what’s new and risky about today.
By the end of the module, your people will be able to:

- Describe the core ideas of each privacy principle
- Identify what is and is not personal information
- Explain the use of Privacy Impact Assessments
- Describe the Privacy Commissioner’s powers
- Respond appropriately to a privacy breach
- Find further detail, resources and support.
